Homebrew
Here at Pathwalker One, we believe in the power of our players. In the spirit of keeping things straightforward and community-focused, we’ve adopted Creative Commons licenses for our Core Rules and adventure books.
Creative Commons licenses are our commitment to simplicity and openness. They empower you to create and share your content, build upon our system, and contribute to the Pathwalker One community—all without the hassle of navigating complex legal restrictions. It’s our way of ensuring that the community can thrive and innovate without barriers.
These licenses give all creators the freedom to use the Pathwalker One Core Rules and freely publish their own roleplaying games and content based on it, with some simple guidelines.
Our CORE RULES are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0), which allows you to share, adapt, and build upon our work non-commercially, as long as you give appropriate credit and license your new creations under identical terms.
For OUR GAMES, we use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA) license. This allows for commercial use of our settings and worlds, provided that any adaptations are also licensed under the same terms. We encourage originality - while our adventures can inspire, they shouldn't be directly copied or repackaged.
While not mandatory, we strongly encourage creators interested in developing games or content using our rules or settings to publish their work on DriveThruRPG, our exclusive partner. This collaboration aims to provide a centralized hub for Pathwalker One-inspired creations.
It is essential that any game or rule expansion created using our system be clearly designated as "PATHWALKER ONE HOMEBREW”. This distinction helps maintain transparency and allows players to easily identify community-created content.
We are committed to supporting our creative community. As such, we are delighted to offer the opportunity to host links to community-crafted content on our official website. If you have developed Pathwalker One Homebrew content and would like it featured, please email us at wayfinders@pathwalkerone.com. Include a copy of your work and a link to where it can be found online for our review.
